Today (Feb. 8) is National Potato Lovers Day. What better way to celebrate than by playing with your Mr. Potato Head?
This Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head commercial is from back when Mr. Potato Head used real potatoes, not plastic ones. My mother used to tell me stories about how it was back then. And Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head have a car and a trailer to take them to all the hot spots where potatoes congregate.
Did you know that Mr. Potato Head was the first toy advertised on television, and the first product to be marketed directly to children? See, Mr. Potato Head is actually an evil marketing genius.
